Oshkosh Corporation is a U.S.-based global manufacturer with a significant manufacturing presence in the U.S., Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, France, the Netherlands and Romania. In addition, we actively investigate local manufacturing opportunities in select countries. We currently sell and service products in more than 130 countries around the globe.

We market our equipment in geographic regions where the performance specifications demanded by customers either match our current vehicle configurations or present an opportunity to sell value-added features at a price premium. Our focus is on providing customers with a comprehensive package of equipment, parts, service and financing.

Our sales and service network consists of both direct branch offices and dealers to provide better access and support in key markets. In all cases, customers deal with people they know and trust. Dealerships are appointed brand-by-brand on the basis of their ability to understand and serve specific markets. Most are locally owned; many have been with us for decades. Many have mobile service, extensive parts stocks, and provide on-site training in efficient maintenance and operations.

Latin America

Latin America and the Caribbean are considered vital to Oshkosh' growth strategy for commercial products. Since the 1970s, Oshkosh aircraft rescue and fire fighting (ARFF) trucks have been widely used by airports throughout the region. In recent years, we've made gains in marketing to municipalities with the popular Contender by Pierce brand of fire trucks in Argentina, Costa Rica, Mexico, Chile, Colombia, Venezuela and more. Medtec ambulances are also exported to municipalities and government agencies.

While McNeilus concrete mixers are helping build roads, homes and building throughout the region, McNeilus refuse collection bodies are used to keep the streets clean. Oshkosh has 49% ownership in Mezcladora y Trailers Mexico (MTM) located in Puebla, about 75 miles north of Mexico City. This affiliate produces McNeilus brand refuse collection bodies and concrete mixers for customers throughout South America.

Asia

In Asian markets, Oshkosh's strongest sales opportunities lie with its Oshkosh brand of aircraft rescue and fire fighting (ARFF) vehicles and snow removal equipment, and JLG access equipment. The People's Republic of China has long used Oshkosh ARFF trucks to protect major airports. Other major customers are located in Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, Guam, and the Republic of Korea. In addition, Oshkosh's global purchasing strategy includes sourcing select components and fabrications with Asian manufacturers.

The Oshkosh Corporation Asian operations are headquartered in Beijing, with shared services offices in Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Middle East

Oshkosh has enjoyed a strong presence in the Middle East for decades, particularly with our Oshkosh brand defense and aircraft rescue and fire fighting (ARFF) vehicles. The governments of Oman, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates count on Oshkosh defense trucks for much of their logistics truck fleets. Since March 2000 Oshkosh has co-produced Heavy Equipment Transporter Trailers with the Government of Egypt at a production facility near Cairo. This trailer transports the M1A1 Abrams battle tank. Oshkosh provides partial knock-down kits, technology transfer and quality assurance support for this project.
