| Oshkosh has enjoyed a strong presence in the Middle East for decades,
particularly with our Oshkosh brand defense and aircraft rescue and
fire fighting (ARFF) vehicles. The governments of Oman, Saudi Arabia,
Egypt and the United Arab Emirates count on Oshkosh defense trucks
for much of their logistics truck fleets. Since March 2000 Oshkosh
has co-produced Heavy Equipment Transporter Trailers with the Government
of Egypt at a production facility near Cairo. This trailer transports
the M1A1 Abrams battle tank. Oshkosh provides partial knock-down kits,
technology transfer and quality assurance support for this project.
